Situated in Sunshine Bay at the west end of Lake Wabamun, Alberta, across from the Town of Seba Beach, SBYC is a members managed sailing club offering a club house, floating docks and other facilities.

Join us on the lake for our Fall Series this Saturday and Sunday! ⛵️🌊

This late-August weekend will feature multiple races on the water, similar to our Spring Series and Splice the MainBrace 🌞

There will also be an opportunity for members to connect with the Board, hear updates on what’s happening at the club, ask questions, and share feedback! 👥

At SBYC, we are more than a sailing club. We are a community that takes pride in our facility so that we can all enjoy its beauty 🌊

Our sailing season isn’t over yet, but we want to take a moment to thank our Board members for their time and effort throughout the spring and summer, and for an amazing open house the other weekend. Your hard work helps make SBYC the community it is 🫂🌞

The weather is looking good for our Splice The MainBrace series 2/2 & Potluck happening this Saturday ⛵🏁

This race is being hosted by and start time is 11:00am at Lake Wabamun, AB 🕓📍

Don't forget sunscreen and we'll sea you out on the water! 🌊🌞

A big thank you to everyone who came out to our first Open House! ⛵️🎉

We had such a great afternoon hosting tours and hanging out by the marina, and thankfully, the weather held out for us! It was wonderful to meet so many new faces, share more about Sunshine Bay Yacht Club, and see so much interest in getting out on the water. 🌞

We really appreciate everyone who made the trip out and spent part of their Sunday with us. We hope to see you back at the club soon! Check out the events we have lined up for August and September through the link in our bio. ⚓🗓️

Ever wondered what it's like to sail?

Our Open House is your chance to find out!

Guests who attend our event can sign up for the opportunity to go sailing with one of our members - at a later date - for a casual introduction to life on the water.

This isn't a club-hosted sailing event—it's simply our members volunteering to share their passion for sailing with someone who's curious to give it a try.

No experience is needed, and there's absolutely no obligation. Just come to the Open House, chat with our members, and if you'd like to get your feet wet (hopefully not literally 😉), add your name to the list!

Fine print: Sail dates, weather, boat availability, and skipper schedules all play a part. Actual experiences may vary... but we think that's part of the adventure. ⛵😄

Rigging up for one of our busiest and funnest weekends of the season! Pirate Days is upon us, with events such as Boat Decorating (Pirate Ships!), group feasts, co****le tournament, a sail past with the Seba Beach Regatta, kids activities and most of all - pirate costumes and good old fashioned fun. If you see some pirate ships out on the waters of Lake Wabamun this weekend, feel free to yell "ahoy!"
