Sarnia-Bluewater Chapter of PFLAG Canada. We meet every month on the second Thursday at Grace United Church, 990 Cathcart Blvd., Sarnia at 7 p.m.- 9 p.m.

Where has Summer gone?
Our meetings start back up on September 10, at 7 p.m. in the Friendship Room at Grace United Church. Everyone is welcome. Please feel free to come and see what we are all about, come for some social time, come for some support.

A brand that calls itself Canadian should act like it.

Tim Hortons' new Harry Potter promotion ties its name to J.K. Rowling, whose public and financial opposition to transgender rights has helped drive the rollback of those rights around the world. We expected better from a brand that has played a key role in many Canadians' lives.

A lot of us bring our kids to these spaces after swim class, hockey practices, or report card day. Now we need to wonder if our families, of all different types, are welcome in these spaces.

pflag Canada is asking Tim Hortons to make a meaningful, public investment in 2SLGBTQ+ communities across Canada, one that reflects the scale of what it has put behind this promotion. Let's cast expecto patronum on exclusion and summon the best of Canadian inclusion instead.

Set up today with Sarnia Bluewater Pflag at Pride in the Park in beautiful Canatara. Pride in the Park is on today (Saturday) 12-5 and tomorrow (Sunday) 12-5. The pride Parade starts at a 1 pm Sunday!

Happy Pride Month!

Pride Month is underway, and it’s an opportunity as a community to reaffirm our commitment to an inclusive future.

As we officially recognize the importance of Pride Month, the Progress Pride Flag is flying at the Paul Blundy Park Flag Plaza.

It's a visual statement that everyone, including 2SLGBTQI+ community members, are not only welcome, but valued contributors to Sarnia and its future.
