Young Caregivers Association is a registered charity with the mission to support Young Caregivers

Young caregivers are children and youth, 25 years old and younger, who are in a caregiving role for a family member needing assistance due to a chronic illness, disability, addiction, mental illness or language barrier.

Everyone has either met a Young Caregiver or a caregiving family but aren't aware of how to identify them. Adding one checkbox to checkups in fields such as health professionals, social work, and even emergency departments can get these Young Caregivers supports they deserve.
