Young caregivers are children and youth, 25 years old and younger, who are in a caregiving role for a family member needing assistance due to a chronic illness, disability, addiction, mental illness or language barrier.

🔎 Caregivers: Share Your Research Experience!

Have you participated in a research project as a caregiver, either as a participant or advisor? The National Caregiver Collaborative wants to hear from you!

The Mobilizing Research to Address Caregiver Needs project is bringing caregivers together to share their experiences and ideas about meaningful caregiver engagement in research.

💬 You’ll have the opportunity to:

Share what worked well—and what was challenging—in your research experience.
Connect with other caregivers who have participated in research.
Offer practical advice to help researchers better engage caregivers.
Help identify what meaningful caregiver involvement in research can look like.

📅 When: September–December 2026
💻 Format: 1–2 virtual group meetings, scheduled around participant availability
đź’° Compensation: Caregivers will be paid for meeting time and agreed-upon preparation or review time.

Who can participate? Unpaid caregivers of all ages who have been involved in research as a participant or advisor and are comfortable sharing their experiences in a group setting.
