Last year I had the honour to teach 4 wonderfully talented actors in our Jarico Films For Youth Scene Study Workshop.

It's important for an actor to be able to showcase what they have to offer this industry with a solid demo reel. But there's a catch: you better be casted or else you won't have anything to show. With our Scene Study program, actors walk away with an original piece that focuses on their dedication to a role.

We’re looking for a few awesome humans to join our Board of Directors.

We’re not just running programs anymore—we’re working toward building a full production + education facility, expanding our international film festival, and helping turn Niagara into a place where filmmakers can actually work, train, and build careers without leaving the region.

And we need a few great people to help guide the ship.

We’re looking for folks who want to:
• support the next wave of filmmakers, actors, and creators under 40
• help bring real employment and creative industry growth to Niagara
• get involved in shaping a studio facility meant to attract small–medium productions
• build programs and events that actually make a difference
• collaborate, dream big, laugh often, and co-create something unique

If you care about community, creativity, and the idea that Niagara can become a film hub, you’re already halfway there.

Skills that help: fundraising, business development, finance, marketing, arts, community engagement, film/TV production… but honestly, passion and commitment matter just as much.

We meet quarterly. We build things year-round. And we have a lot of fun doing it.
