Just a friendly reminder that our event is NOT a BYOB event, we will not be pursuing the licensing. Hope to see you out at East Kent Hot Rods for Hospice 2026!

On March 17, 2026, the province announced new regulations that would allow “bring-your-own" alcoholic beverages at outdoor public events in participating municipalities beginning April 30, 2026. At this time, Chatham-Kent does not have a Bring-Your-Own by-law and is not participating in this program, therefore 𝗻𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗺-𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿-𝗢𝘄𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is dedicated to supporting safe, manageable, and accessible events. Events with alcohol are permitted under the existing Municipal Alcohol Policy. Special Event application information is available on the How To Get Started page, including information on hosting events with alcohol.

What an amazing milestone Chatham-Kent Hospice we are proud to support you, supporting our community!!

Ten years ago today, we welcomed our very first resident into our newly built hospice home. 💙☀️

Since that moment, we have remained dedicated to providing compassionate, end-of-life care within our residence. Over the years, our services have grown to include grief and bereavement support for individuals and families across Chatham-Kent, as well as guidance for those living with a life-limiting illness who are seeking health care resources.

This specialized care is only possible because of the generosity and support of our community. Thank you for helping us make a difference every day.

Here’s to 10 years of care, compassion, and community - and many more to come.

We are so thankful to the Highgate Lions Club for donating all proceeds of their food tent to our event supporting Chatham-Kent Hospice! People are still raving about those amazing breakfast sandwiches!!!

🚗💛 The Highgate Lions Club was proud to donate the proceeds from the Hot Rods for Hospice food tent — a total of $3,048.90 — to the Ridge Runners East Kent to be included in their donation supporting the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by for a bite and helped make this contribution possible. Your support truly makes a difference in our community! 🦁💙
