Another sneak peek at some treasures to be found at the IODE Book Sale in Ridgetown on June 5 (9 am - 7 pm) and June 6 (9am-Noon). Come visit us at the Youth Centre on Ebenezer St.
Bring a reusable bag or two to carry home your wonderful finds. We also have puzzles and DVD's.

IODE BOOK SALE - Mark your calendar for June 5 (9am to 7 pm) and June 6 (9am to Noon). We have recently received a wonderful collection of non-fiction books in fantastic condition. This is a sample of what bird watchers might enjoy. We will accept donations of books on June 4 at the Youth Centre from 7am to 7 pm.

IODE Ridgetown-Confederation Chapter sponsors four awards to graduating secondary school students going on to post secondary studies. Secondary school students who live in the Ridgetown area but attend school at RDHS, BDHS or a Chatham Secondary School are eligible to apply.

Isobel R. Pow Award - This award is named after our mentor from Kent Chapter IODE on the start up Confederation Chapter. This bursary is presented to a graduating student who excels in all areas of school and community involvement.

Second World War Memorial Award – Established after World War II, this bursary is presented to a graduating student who has made a personal contribution to the life of their respective secondary school by demonstrating leadership skills and teamwork.
Jubilee Award – This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding graduating student who is pursuing a career in the education or social services field; i.e. early childhood education, teaching, social worker ……

Nora Goldhawk Memorial Award – This scholarship is awarded to a graduating student pursuing a career in the health care field; i.e. nursing, radiology, dental hygienist, kinesiology ….
Students are asked to send a letter outlining their school and community activities as well as their continuing education and financial plans.

All award recipients will be required to submit proof of acceptance and or/payment to a post secondary school. Cash awards will be forwarded directly to the student upon receipt of this proof.
All letters must be received by May 30. (No late applications will be accepted.)

We really enjoyed meeting potential new members at the Service Club Expo. This is a reminder that our May 5, 2026, meeting will commence at 7 pm rather than our normal 7:30 pm start.
Perhaps you didn’t attend the Expo and are looking to work with other women to volunteer to help women, children and those in need in our community.
Please join us for a meeting to get a better understanding of what we do.
