The best way to keep both people and bears safe is to avoid attracting bears by managing attractants:
🍎 If you have fruit-bearing plants, collect ripe fruit and pick up fallen fruit daily
🐦 Use bird feeders only in the winter
🗑️ Ensure waste, recycling and compost carts are stored in bear-resistant storage until pickup day
