Ten years ago, we set out to create a fun, challenging and unique cycling fundraiser for Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation. Over the years, Wheel 2 Heal raised $1.1M to support the greatest needs at ERH!

Today, it is with heavy hearts that we announce 2018 was the last Wheel 2 Heal ride. We are proud of the event we created and wish to thank all our sponsors especially our recent presenting sponsor, Bold Properties, the riders, donors, committee members, volunteers, event team, board and staff for your support! As the sunshine beamed at this year’s Wheel 2 Heal event, Kelly and Glen Hobbis took the stage to announce a tremendous $100,000 gift to Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation. Their donation will name I.V. Therapy treatment spaces within the new Community Outpatient Services department as part of the hospital’s expansion. IV therapy is a space Glen knows all too well – a place that once evoked fear will now be a place named to inspire others to be strong and face their fears.

We are truly grateful to the Hobbis Family, not only for this incredible gift, but for their long-standing support of the Foundation and for championing healthcare in the community.

Kelly Hobbis and her husband, Glen, announced they will donate $100,000 to the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation, at the end of today’s Wheel 2 Heal cycling fundraiser in the City of Coquitlam - Municipality.

City of Port Coquitlam Mayor Greg Moore was the top individual fundraiser at $18,000.
