We are incredibly proud of the student leaders of the Port Hope High School Interact Club and all the young innovators who participated in this year’s Pitch to the Chief™ – Youth Edition at Venture13.
A special congratulations to PHHS students Abigail T. and Trissa T., whose project SafeStep earned the Grand Prize. Their app helps people with disabilities find safer and more accessible routes tailored to their individual needs, an inspiring example of innovation with real community impact.
The creativity, leadership, and commitment demonstrated by all participating students were truly remarkable. These young leaders are making a difference today while shaping a brighter future for our community.
Congratulations to all the teams and thank you to everyone who supported this outstanding event.
Our Rotary Club of Port Hope is proud to see our Interact Club members leading the way!

The Rotary Club of Port Hope is proud to again this year support Diabetes Canada D-Camp through the Helen Philp Fund with a $3,000 donation.
D-Camp provides life-changing experiences for children and youth living with Type 1 diabetes, offering a safe and empowering place to learn, grow, build confidence, and connect with others who truly understand their journey.
The D-Camp program has assisted and continues to help Port Hope youth.
We are honoured to help support programs that give young people the tools, friendships, and encouragement they need to thrive.

There's something about sitting in a room full of Rotarians from across the district that reminds you why you joined in the first place. Members of our Northumberland Sunrise Rotary was at the District Assembly 7070 this past weekend in Scarborough alongside fellow Rotarians including Port Hope and Cobourg Rotary. We came home with new connections, a sharpened sense of direction, and a lot of anticipation watching our incoming president-elect Rhonda Cunningham step into everything she'll bring to the role.
It was a great day of fellowship and shared learning, and we're bringing it all back to Create Lasting Change in our community.

We are proud to share that Rotary Club of Port Hope - through the Helen Philp Fund - proudly donated $5,000 in May 2026 to support Beatrice Strong Public School’s exciting playground enhancement project!
This contribution will help bring a brand-new swing set to the schoolyard, creating a joyful and inclusive space where children can play, connect, and thrive for years to come.
Supporting local youth and strengthening our community is at the heart of what Rotary does, and we are honoured to be part of a project that will bring so many smiles to students and families.
