HAVE YOU REGISTERED YET? FOR OUR VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION LUNCH????
DEADLINE TO REGISTER: September 7th
EVENT DATE: Sunday September 13th 1.00 pm to 4:00 pm
We love our volunteers here at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 340 - Port Elgin. Our branch’s success is a direct result of our contributing members and Executive that take the time to organize, work, represent us and fundraise in the community, promote and publicize our activities, events and fundraising initiatives.

And especially those help us with food donations of food with their meal prep and cooking, and set up and clean up and take down after our events.

We would not be able to give back to a community without our volunteers!
And now we want to recognize you at our volunteers appreciation event. Please see the details below.

- kitchen help,
- table setting or serving,
- assisting at bingo or yard work.

BBQ starts at 6:00pm and runs until the food runs out.

As students prepare to begin their studies for the 2026–2027 academic year, the Ontario Command Bursary Program will open for applications on September 1, 2026.

The deadline for a completed application to be submitted to Ontario Command is Friday March 26 2027.

Students are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible and ensure that all required supporting documentation is included to help avoid processing delays.

The application form is available on the Ontario Command website under “Remembrance – Youth Programs – Bursary”. Should a student or their parent(s) have any questions about the program or the application process, they are encouraged to contact the Program Coordinator at [email protected] or 1-866-207-0939.

When was the last time you stopped by the CENOTAPH PARK on Mill Street next to the Port Elgin Post Office and took a moment to remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for you and our country?

WE WILL REMEMBER!

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 340 would like to once again thank of Saugeen staff and their summer students for their attention to detail and care of this honoured space. We appreciate your work and skills.

Our Branch also wants to continue to thank the supporters and contributors that made this Park possible as well. See the last photo for a listing of contributors.
