Save the Date! - QGA St Francis Xavier Feast Celebration

Following the success of the Goan Food Fest last week, we are excited to invite you to the last event to close out the year as we celebrate the Feast of St Francis Xavier, the patron saint of Goa.

Once again we will be hosting a holiday bazaar and we have space for two vendors who want to sell and showcase their wares (such as Christmas sweets, art and crafts etc.). Items need not be Goan themed. If you would like to participate, we will be happy to share the guidelines and answer any questions.

The QGA would like to thank the community for joining us for our annual food festival. With lively music, dancing, and even an auction, the event was a complete sensory experience where the unique cultural foods and drinks were the stars of the show. We were ever so fortunate to have a food stall organized by Mama's Goan Food and your very own committee preparing the scrumptious meal for the evening. Congratulations to all our raffle prize winners and stay tuned for our next QGA event!

The QGA committee would like to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation by proudly wearing orange shirts as a symbol of remembrance and solidarity. Today we honour survivors and their families, and recognize the profound and lasting impact of residential schools on First Nations, Inuit and Métis people.

Reconciliation requires us to listen with humility and to learn from Indigenous voices and experiences. Let us all commit to the enduring truth not only today, but every day that: Every Child Matters. 🧡
