We’re back from the Faith, Fundraising and Communication Symposium at Prairie College feeling encouraged by the conversations and community 🙌 We were especially impacted by keynote speaker Alan Barnhart and the reminder that everything we have is entrusted to us to steward well.

Grateful for the space, the people, and the conversations in between sessions, and for the chance to gather with other nonprofit leaders reflecting on how faith shapes the way we do this work 🧡

Some visits leave you feeling truly grateful, and this was one of those days. ❤️ A huge thank you to the Peter Anderson Real Estate Team for taking the time to visit The Raw Carrot at Mennonite Central Committee - MCC ON in Kitchener, for your ongoing encouragement, generosity, and support of our mission.

It means so much to have people beside us who genuinely care about creating opportunities, building community, and supporting social enterprise in such meaningful ways.

We also loved visiting the MCCC Thrift Shop, where they proudly purchased Raw Carrot Soup and picked up pancake mix. Seeing our products being shared and supported locally is something we never take for granted.

Thank you for believing in what we do, for showing up, and for helping us continue creating meaningful employment and healthy food with purpose.

As we prepare to launch the first Raw Carrot site in British Columbia this fall, it has been a gift to welcome Andrea from Sanctuary Youth Center this week 🧡

Over the next couple of days, Andrea will visit kitchens, meet teams, and spend time learning alongside staff and leadership as we prepare for this exciting new partnership in Victoria, B.C.

Supported employment is deeply relational work. Some of the most meaningful learning happens shoulder to shoulder in the kitchen, seeing how teams work together, how products are prepared, and how confidence, community, and purpose can grow through meaningful employment.

We are so encouraged by what is taking shape through this partnership and grateful for leaders who believe every person deserves the opportunity to contribute meaningfully through work.

As The Raw Carrot continues to grow across Canada, we are continuing to connect with organizations and communities who believe employment can create pathways to dignity, belonging, and hope.
