🟥 WE NEED SOME TOTES! 🟥

Help the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29, Paris create a beautiful and lasting tribute for our community.

We are looking for large plastic storage totes with lids to help protect and organize our growing poppy project.

Why do we need them?

🌺 To safely store completed poppy blankets.

🌺 To store thousands of handmade poppies waiting to be attached to the netting.

Every tote donated helps preserve the countless hours of work and dedication that volunteers have put into this special project. Your support will help us create a beautiful, lasting tribute that honours our veterans and those who served.

If you have a large plastic tote with a lid that you no longer need, we would be grateful for your donation.

HAPPENING NOW 'TIL 4PM! 🚗🚗🍹

Come on down to the Legion for a cold drink and help us affix the poppies to the netting. It's easy! No skills required!

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS! 📱

We have started the next round of Poppy Netting Bees, where volunteers have been attaching the more than 10,000+ hand‑knit and crocheted poppies to netting creating a stunning poppy blanket. The finished display will be draped over the Paris Cenotaph for Remembrance Day and displayed at other locations throughout our community for our 100th Anniversary celebrations. 💪

No experience or special skills are required. Just bring yourself, a willingness to help, and maybe a friend or two! It is a great way to meet people, support a meaningful community project, and have some fun along the way. 🥳

Thank you to everyone who has already helped make this incredible project possible. Together, we are creating something truly special for our community, for Remembrance and for our 100th Anniversary year! 🎉

Yesterday the folks at the Poppy Project were hard at work attaching knitted poppies to netting.

Over 10,000 poppies where knitted for this project!
There is still more work to be done, attaching them to netting for display.

If you would like to help out these poppy workshops are running Wednesday afternoons 1pm to 4pm for the rest of July.
