After 29 years in the fire service, including 13 as a full-time Fire Prevention Officer, the time has come for Cam Forbes, better known to most as Inspector Cam, to retire. 🚒
Cam has been one of a kind. The kind of guy who could walk into any room, and have people talking, laughing or swearing at him within minutes. He had a nickname for just about everyone, was never shy with a well-placed swear word, and somehow made it all part of his charm.
Throughout his career, Cam never hesitated to step up. Whether it was handling bylaw complaints, taking on building inspections, or serving as Fire Prevention Officer across three different departments, if you asked Cam to do it ... it got done.
More importantly, Cam was someone you could always count on. Loyal, dependable, and honest to a fault as you always knew exactly where you stood with him. He was the guy people gravitated toward, the one everyone would talk to, and the one who always had your back.
Cam, your impact on this service and the people in it won’t be forgotten. A fixture in our Harriston Station and one of the original three full time employees, your presence will be deeply missed. Thank you for everything you’ve given over the years.
Enjoy retirement – you've more than earned it.🥳
