Manor Park Community Council The Manor Park Community Council is a trusted provider of recreational programs, special events, and licensed child care in Ottawa.

The Manor Park Community Council (MPCC) endeavours to provide opportunities for members of the community and beyond to develop their minds, bodies, and community spirit. MPCC is a not-for-profit organization that has been providing recreational programs and licensed child care in Manor Park for more than 35 years. We draw on an impressive group of local volunteers and employees and are well connec

ted with many local businesses and organizations. A volunteer Board of Directors guides an excellent committed staff who range from full-time employees to sport- or program-specific part-time employees. MPCC offers a wide variety of year-round programming. Our core programs consist of:

*Before- and After-School in Manor Park

*Manor Park Child Care Centre (daycare)

*Sports, fitness and recreational activities

*Summer Day Camps

*Community events

The MPCC recognizes and thanks the City of Ottawa for the mandate and Renewable Community Funding grant. Programs are financed on a cost recovery basis by fees, grants and donations. Community volunteers are an essential part of a livable and vibrant community. The Board of Directors meets every fourth Wednesday (September-June) at 7pm. We hope that the MPCC will be a great fit for your routine and activities!

Over 40 spaces have been filled at the community centre! That means - lots of action and excitement on the community centre lawn.

All residents and neighbours are welcomed and encouraged to set up in their lawns, driveways, garages, etc! Let’s build a vibrant community garage sale.

MPCC will have a number of items for sale as well. First come, first serve.

Our wonderful friends from QUELQUE CHOSE macarons will be on site with sweet treats, snackies and refreshments for purchase.

City of Ottawa Child Care Subsidy Accepted! Join us for an unforgettable summer at our licensed summer camp, located inside Manor Park Public School! Registered Early Childhood Educators and experienced Childcare Assistants offer planned and spontaneous activities throughout the summer including water play, crafts, science experiments and so much more. MPCC is part of the Canada-Wide Early Learning & Child Care (CWELCC) initiative of the federal and provincial government to reduce daycare fees for eligible children.

Deeply relaxing. Meditative. Healing. These are some of the words that people have used to describe their Gong/Sound Bath experience.

What is sound therapy and how does it work?
​The stress of daily living affects us all and can prevent us from functioning at our full potential. A sound therapy treatment provides a quiet and gentle space where we can be surrounded by harmonic sound, letting our brains “switch off” so that our bodies, minds and spirits can move to a place of greater health and well-being.
Using the voice and instruments, Jennifer puts sound into the client’s body and works to bring a client to a place of relaxation so that the body, mind and spirit can begin to do their own work of healing. Different clients need different things and every treatment session is unique.

Bring your own mat (yoga mat, camping matress) pillow and a blanket or two. Wear comfortable clothes. Then just lie back, relax and enjoy the healing experience.

Volunteers are welcome to help out at the Manor Park Hydration Station located at the intersection of Acacia Avenue and Sir George Etienne Cartier Parkway.

Volunteering will take place:
🏃Sun May 24
🏃6 AM until the last runner/walker passes between 12:30 and 2:30 PM

Cheer on the racers! Help out in your community!
Be part of the action.

Volunteers will be helping out at the hydration station, handing out water and electrolytes, set up, tear down, cheering, cleaning up cups, etc...

Must be 10 years of age and older. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
