Manor Park Community Council The Manor Park Community Council is a trusted provider of recreational programs, special events, and licensed child care in Ottawa.

The Manor Park Community Council (MPCC) endeavours to provide opportunities for members of the community and beyond to develop their minds, bodies, and community spirit. MPCC is a not-for-profit organization that has been providing recreational programs and licensed child care in Manor Park for more than 35 years. We draw on an impressive group of local volunteers and employees and are well connec

ted with many local businesses and organizations. A volunteer Board of Directors guides an excellent committed staff who range from full-time employees to sport- or program-specific part-time employees. MPCC offers a wide variety of year-round programming. Our core programs consist of:

*Before- and After-School in Manor Park

*Manor Park Child Care Centre (daycare)

*Sports, fitness and recreational activities

*Summer Day Camps

*Community events

The MPCC recognizes and thanks the City of Ottawa for the mandate and Renewable Community Funding grant. Programs are financed on a cost recovery basis by fees, grants and donations. Community volunteers are an essential part of a livable and vibrant community. The Board of Directors meets every fourth Wednesday (September-June) at 7pm. We hope that the MPCC will be a great fit for your routine and activities!

Rock the Block is coming back!

One of our favourite nights of the year is almost here, and we’re getting ready to bring the neighbourhood together for an evening of food, fun, and a little friendly competition!

📅 Friday, September 18
📍 100 Thornwood Road
🕠 5:30–9:00 p.m.
🎥 Movie starts at 7:30 p.m.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

🎬 A FREE outdoor movie under the stars
🌭 Local food and beverage vendors serving up plenty of good things to eat and drink
🥧 Our annual Pie Baking Contest, where your homemade masterpiece could take home some bragging rights
💡 BIG IDEA, our brand-new young entrepreneurial display, showcasing the creativity and big ideas of young people in our community

And, of course, there will be plenty of neighbours, friends, music, and good old-fashioned community fun along the way.

Bring the family, bring a blanket, bring your appetite, and bring your best pie. We’ll bring the rest. ❤️

🎉 Rock the Block is better with a great community crew behind it!

We’re looking for volunteers of all ages and abilities to help us make Rock the Block on Friday, September 18 a fantastic night for the whole neighbourhood.

There are lots of ways to pitch in, from helping with activities and games to welcoming neighbours, assisting with setup, and keeping things running smoothly.

🙌 Bring a friend, meet some neighbours, and be part of the team that makes community events happen!

🎓 High school students can receive volunteer hours for their time.

This is what a summer day in Manor Park looks like!

Pints in the Park brought together some of our favourite things: delicious food, local vendors, live music and, most importantly, our community.
From the first arrival to the last song, the park was filled with good food, great conversations, and plenty of familiar faces.

Thank you to every local vendor, musician, volunteer, and community member who helped make the day so special.
