As part of our shared commitment to supporting families, Pleo and ODMH - Open Doors Mental Health are inviting parents and caregivers to share their feedback about our Parent and Caregiver Information Sessions.

If you are a parent or caregiver who has attended at least one previous session and/or are a parent or caregiver of a child or youth up to age 12, we'd love to hear from you.

By completing our short survey, you can help us better understand the topics that matter most to families, inform future session topics, and ensure sessions continue to meet the needs of families.

Dans le cadre de notre engagement commun à soutenir les familles, Pleo et Open Doors Mental Health (ODMH) invitent les parents et les personnes aidantes à partager leurs commentaires au sujet de nos Soirées d’information pour les parents et les personnes aidantes.

Si vous êtes parent ou personne aidante ayant assisté à au moins une séance précédente et/ou parent ou personne aidante d’un-e enfant ou d’un-e jeune âgé de 0 à 12 ans, nous serions ravis de connaître votre opinion.

En répondant à notre court sondage, vous contribuerez à mieux comprendre les sujets qui comptent le plus pour les familles, à orienter les thèmes des prochaines séances et à nous assurer que celles-ci répondent toujours mieux aux besoins des familles.

Following extensive feedback from families and the community, the OCSB Board of Trustees unanimously voted to rescind the previous decision to eliminate bus attendant positions. Bus attendants serving students in Developmental Education programs will remain in place, and services will continue without interruption.

Trustees heard from families, Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) members, advocacy organizations, staff, and community partners about the impact the proposed change would have on students and families. Their feedback reinforced the important role bus attendants play in creating a safe and supportive transportation experience and providing reassurance to parents and caregivers.

Further information will be shared directly with affected families, staff, and schools in the coming days.

🚨 Reminder: Our Interactive AI Showcase is Happening Tonight! 🚨

Curious about how AI and digital tools are being used in OCSB classrooms? Join us this evening for an engaging, hands-on experience designed to help families better understand the technology supporting student learning.

✨ Explore interactive demo stations featuring tools such as SchoolAI, Brisk, Wayground, NotebookLM, and Gemini — the same platforms being used in classrooms across the board.

💻 Try activities through sample student accounts by grade range (K–2, 3–6, 7–8, and 9–12) and see firsthand how these tools connect to learning through Google Classroom.

📚 The evening will include:
🔹 A brief overview of the OCSB AI Policy and current classroom tools
🔹 Live demonstrations and guided exploration stations
🔹 Opportunities to ask questions and connect with members of the OCSB Learning Technologies team

This event is all about bridging the gap between home and school so families feel informed, confident, and prepared for our AI-integrated future.
