The Rideau Valley Conservation Foundation is a registered environmental charity (www.RVCF.ca) working to protect and conserve the lands and waters of the Rideau River valley in Eastern Ontario. The Foundation raises funds and in-kind gifts for three major areas of conservation work:
Land Care - tree planting, erosion control, landowner information, trail building and maintenance, outdoor signage,
picnic tables, benches, boardwalks. Conservation Education - outdoor learning and experiences, accessible programs and services, onsite landowner visits, public events. The Foundation was founded in 1970 and is run by a volunteer Board of Directors. It works closely with many environmental and like-minded partners in the National Capital Region. The Foundation's biggest supporter is the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority, which provides office space and staff, lends expertise to many of the Foundation's environmental projects and manages its conservation lands.
