OTTAWA - Break the silence on TUESDAY, MAY 19 in front of the Prime Minister’s office (80 Wellington St.) at 6 PM to protest the unlawful attack on the Global Sumud Flotilla!

Our humanitarian mission to break the illegal siege imposed by the occupation has once again been subjected to extrajudicial high-seas piracy and kidnapping in international waters, approximately 250 nautical miles from the coast of Gaza. Several Canadians have been abducted.

We call on Prime Minister Carney to condemn Israel’s illegal attack on a civilian flotilla seeking to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and to demand the immediate release of Canadians kidnapped by occupation forces.

Like the flotilla, this is a lawful, nonviolent action. In collaboration with similar actions taking place in other cities across the country, it is intended to communicate our 5 demands of the Canadian government:

1. Sanction israel
2. Arms embargo now!
3. Press for an end to the siege on Gaza
4. Call for the release of all 10,000 Palestinian hostages
5. Protect all Canadians participating in the flotilla and demand their release

SJP SERIES
Today marks 78 years of occupation and 78 years of resistance. The Nakba continues to unfold, day after day, generation after generation. It continues in the keys of homes that still wait for their owners. It continues in elders who remember every tree and every road. It continues in every child born under occupation. And it continues in the unwavering belief that return is not a dream, but a right.

Every year on May 15, Palestinians take to the streets to insist that their existence is not negotiable. This series is about the Palestine that is erased. It is about the everyday violence of settler colonialism.

They can try to erase the land, target our elders and youth, rename the cities, but they cannot erase Palestine.

PART 2: Complicit companies
Carleton University continues to shamelessly choose profit over people.

This post outlines a few of the companies Carleton invests in that enable the apartheid system in Palestine and allow the illegal expansion of zionist settlements in Palestinian land. You can access the list of all the companies (that we know of) in the divestment letter in the link in bio.

Don’t forget to sign the CUSA divestment petition and join us in demanding the board of governors divest from genocide and occupation.

OTTAWA - JOIN THE MAY DAY MARCH WITH THE PALESTINE CONTINGENT!

May Day is a call to unite in the shared power of all who labour—across every form of work that sustains our communities. It is a day of international solidarity, rooted in resistance to exploitation and the belief in a better world for all.

Today, that solidarity must center Palestine. As Palestinians endure ongoing, devastating violence and dispossession, the world faces a broader surge in authoritarianism, war, and inequality.
Entire nations are pushed toward crisis while wealth concentrates in the hands of a few. From Palestine to Turtle Island, the message is clear: this system is failing us—but it doesn’t have to be this way.

Come out to support workers and to reaffirm that Palestine is a labour issue!

DATE: Friday, May 1
TIME: 5:00 PM meeting. March begins at 5:30 PM
PLACE: Confederation Park, Elgin & Laurier

Carleton University continues to cowardly invest in weapon companies who have murdered entire bloodlines, companies complicit in international humanitarian law violations, prioritising profit over people.

This post outlines only a few of the companies Carleton invests in that supply warplanes, missiles, bomb components, and fuel used in the Genocide against the Palestinian people. Carleton also invests in companies that enable the apartheid system in occupied Palestine. You can access the list of all the companies (that we know of) in the divestment letter, link in bio.

Don’t forget to sign the CUSA divestment petition, and join us in demanding the board of governors divest from genocide and occupation!

Recap of our recent event with !!

We learned how to filter dirty water and make it drinkable, something that Palestinians in Gaza have resorted to due to the severe water crisis which has left 90% of the population without access to safe and clean water.
