Congratulations to the Republic of Kosovo!

The Albanian Canadian Political Action Committee (ACPAC) congratulates the institutions and political leadership of the Republic of Kosovo on successfully resolving the presidential election process and reaching an agreement that preserves institutional stability and avoids another parliamentary election.

We extend our sincere congratulations to President Justina Shiroka-Pula on her election as President of the Republic of Kosovo.
We wish her success in this important responsibility and in representing the Republic and its citizens with dignity.
This agreement demonstrates the importance of political dialogue, cooperation, and putting the interests of the country and its citizens first.

ACPAC welcomes this important institutional development and wishes the Republic of Kosovo continued stability, democratic progress, and prosperity.

ACPAC Continues to Grow and Engage
Members of the Albanian Canadian Political Action Committee (ACPAC) recently had the pleasure of meeting with Ted Opitz, candidate for Toronto City Councillor in Ward 3, Etobicoke–Lakeshore.
The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for meaningful discussion about community engagement, local priorities, and the importance of ensuring that diverse communities have a strong voice in municipal decision-making.
Following this meeting, ACPAC is pleased to endorse Ted Opitz for City Councillor in Ward 3, Etobicoke–Lakeshore, as one of the candidates ACPAC is supporting in the municipal elections.
ACPAC remains committed to strengthening civic participation, building relationships with leaders and candidates across our communities, and encouraging greater involvement of Albanian Canadians in Canada's democratic and decision-making processes.
ACPAC is growing, in membership, engagement, and presence. We look forward to continuing our work, expanding our network, and bringing the Albanian Canadian community closer to the institutions and individuals shaping our cities and our country.

ACPAC vazhdon të rritet dhe të zgjerojë angazhimin e saj
Anëtarët e Komitetit të Veprimit Politik Shqiptaro-Kanadez (ACPAC) patën së fundmi kënaqësinë të zhvillonin një takim me Ted Opitz, kandidat për Këshilltar të Qytetit të Torontos në Ward 3, Etobicoke–Lakeshore.
Takimi ishte një mundësi shumë e mirë për të zhvilluar një diskutim të frytshëm mbi angazhimin e komunitetit, prioritetet lokale dhe rëndësinë që komunitetet e ndryshme të kenë një zë të fuqishëm në proceset vendimmarrëse në nivel bashkiak.
Pas këtij takimi, ACPAC ka kënaqësinë të mbështesë kandidaturën e Ted Opitz për Këshilltar të Qytetit në Ward 3, Etobicoke–Lakeshore, si një nga kandidatët që ACPAC po mbështet në zgjedhjet bashkiake.

Albanian Canadian Political Action Committee (ACPAC) joins Canadians across the country in recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.

We honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, the survivors, their families, and Indigenous communities whose lives continue to be affected by this painful chapter in Canada’s history.

As Albanian Canadians, we believe that building a stronger Canada means learning from its history, respecting one another, and standing together in support of dignity, understanding, and reconciliation.
Today is a day to listen, learn, remember, and reflect.

On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, ACPAC was honoured to be represented by ACPAC leader of Etobicoke Centre, Nador Bakalli at a special recognition ceremony at Laurentian University honouring Grace Fox, respected Anishinaabe Elder and education leader.

Today is an important opportunity to honour the Survivors of residential schools, remember those who never returned home, and recognize the families and Indigenous communities whose lives continue to be impacted by this history.

ACPAC is proud to stand alongside Indigenous communities in the spirit of respect, understanding, and reconciliation.

ACPAC and Albanian community members in Waterloo region were pleased to meet with Ryan Bolender, candidate for Mayor of Cambridge, and Prakash Venkataraman, candidate for Regional Councillor.

We appreciated the opportunity to hear their vision for our community, discuss issues that matter to residents, and learn more about their commitment to building a strong, inclusive, and vibrant Cambridge.
