Career Compass is coming to BC: Join us at the University of British Columbia, May 21-23, 2027 in Vancouver!

Older Pathfinders (ages 14+), Rangers, & Bridging Members will stay in UBC dorms, providing the experience of campus living while diving into hands-on career exploration. You’ll meet professionals, try out different fields, & connect with other Girl Guide members from across the country. This event was piloted in 2026 in Toronto & is being expanded to three cities including Vancouver for 2027 - we're excited to welcome participants to the west coast.

Depending on your age, there are opportunities to attend solo by requesting to join a "patrol unit" or register with your existing unit to come with friends & adult Guiders you already know.

Participants can raise funds ahead of time, through cookie sales or other approved fundraisers, to help cover costs. Now is the time to start planning & discussing options.

New friends + memories made + a global gathering = worth a stadium snap! Our lucky Girl Guide member draw winners had a blast at the FIFA World Cup last night as invited VIPs & we offer our big thanks to the Community Benefit Program for welcoming Guiding youth/volunteers to be part of this incredible experience at BC Place.

The world is at BC Place & so are lucky Girl Guides. After our member draw this week, we're thrilled to have teens enjoying tonight's FIFA World Cup match featuring Australia vs Turkiye - thanks to the Community Benefit Program by the Government of BC & City of Vancouver which awarded tickets to BC Girl Guides so young people can be part of this exciting event. Pathfinders & Rangers from five cities/towns received tickets for a VIP experience in a special suite accompanied by volunteer Guiders. Game on!

⚽ An epic Girl Guide night out... at the FIFA World Cup at BC Place! We're excited to be a recipient of donated tickets for the Australia vs Turkiye match this Saturday, June 13 with a 9pm kick-off. Selected members will represent Girl Guides with pride & be part of a once-in-a-lifetime experience while enjoying fun, food, & festivities in a special stadium suite.

Pathfinders, Rangers, & adult members (who will volunteer to supervise youth at this event) are invited to enter our member draw for your chance to attend. Fill out the entry form on our BC event calendar by 3pm Friday, June 12 (tomorrow): www.girlguides.ca/bc

We're excited for summer 2026 but we're also planning for next year: Camp Olave turns 100 years old in 2027, a century of camp memory-making on the Sunshine Coast!

BC Girl Guides will be hosting a "Celebrate! Olave 100!" Summer Camp at Camp Olave in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast in August 2027. Starting next Tuesday, June 9, we'll be accepting event volunteer applications from adult Guiders to make this awesome experience happen next year.
