88 households served today

From welcoming neighbours during shopping appointments to bringing groceries right to their doors, our hardworking volunteers made today happen.

Behind every household served is your time, energy and kindness. Thank you for keeping our pantry moving and our neighbours nourished. We couldn’t do it without you!

A big thank you to our dedicated Volunteer Coordinator Extraordinaire Liz (aka the 👑 of the Pantry) , who keeps us all in line 😉 and lets her heart shine 💜.

October marked a new record at the Newmarket Food Pantry.

This October, we supported over 2,897 individuals ...our highest monthly number to date.

That’s 399 more individuals than October 2025, representing a 16% increase in just one year.

We had over 40 new households register to begin accessing emergency food support.

Behind every number is a neighbour. A family trying to make ends meet. A senior stretching a fixed income. A parent doing everything they can to put food on the table.

While we’re proud to be here for our community, these numbers are a shocking reminder that food insecurity continues to grow right here in Newmarket.

The need has never been greater. Neither has the importance of your support.

Together, we can continue Nourishing Neighbours. See how you can make a difference: newmarketfoodpantry.ca 💛🧡🩵

**These numbers do not include the many neighbours who only access our Community Fridge for support.

🚗 POV: When you roll up to the Community Fridge with a truck load of food and two of your favourite volunteers just happen to be walking by, and offer to help you unload!!

❤️This. Is. Community.

It took two to make a thing go right 🎶... and their smiling faces just made our whole day!! Thank you Kym and Megan.

Empty cupboards. An empty fridge. Not knowing where your next meal will come from.... for some of our neighbours, that’s their scary reality.

Help us scare hunger away today by making a donation to the Newmarket Food Pantry. Your donation can help fill a neighbour’s cupboards and bring comfort in knowing there’s food for their next meal.

Because the only thing anyone should be worrying about tonight is who’s knocking at the door.

Wishing EVERYONE a safe and happy Halloween!! 🎃 👻
