We honour Orange Shirt Day -National Day for Truth and Reconciliation by remembering the children and families impacted by residential schools and recognizing their lasting legacy.

May this day open the door to meaningful conversations, understanding, and connection as we continue the journey toward reconciliation.

The CCT team will be wearing orange in the spirit of remembrance, reconciliation, and hope for generations of children to come. 🧡

As we prepare for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, our schools are taking time to learn, reflect and remember. 🧡

On September 30, we’ll be together in our classrooms, continuing this learning through activities and reflection.

Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange as we honour the day together.

A heartfelt thank-you to our incredible colleague, Lana, for stepping in to cover a Wellness Facilitator vacancy this past school year at St. Mary's School and for taking the lead on our summer programming.

We are so grateful for her relational approach, energy, creativity, honesty, and candid perspective she brought to the role.

A true veteran in every sense, Lana leads with experience, integrity, and a willingness to think differently. Her creativity and commitment have made a real difference, and we have been so fortunate to have her on our team as a casual staff member since January.

As she heads back to the Medicine Hat College this fall for her third year of Education studies, we know she has an exciting road ahead. We are cheering her on and wishing her every success ~always. Thank you, Lana for everything you have contributed, and for who you are. You will be missed! 💙
