Rotarian Terry Cooper will be one of the presenters at Pecha Kucha this Friday. Terry will be speaking about our clubs Team Freewheel.

During Pecha Kucha Night Vol 37, Terry will tell us about ‘Team FreeWheel’ - a project initiated by the Rotary Club of Medicine Hat in 2020 in which bicycles that were abandoned, unclaimed from the police compound, or donated by the public are refurbished and then distributed to individuals and families, as well as local support organizations, who need them. The ultimate purpose of the project is to give recipients affordable transportation, greater independence, and improved access to employment, leisure time pursuits, and resources. To date, over 700 bicycles have been distributed.

Join us on Friday, June 5 at 7:30 pm at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre to hear from Terry and a full lineup of incredible speakers! Doors @ 6:30 pm | cash bar available | suggested donation of $5.

Michelle and Pamela from the Rotary Ignite Medicine Hat joined us for lunch today and gave a great presentation on the startup and focus of their new Rotary Club. We certainly learned a lot more than we did before and we wish them every success as they work their way forward to an eventual charter.

A great meeting today. Mayor Linnsie Clark attended to talk about current events and to answer questions from members. We enjoyed a lively hour of conversation.

A small group of Medicine Hat Rotary club members, joined many others in the province on Saturday to help clean up our city. In our case, we worked on Rotary Centennial Drive NW, from Division Ave N to the west. Lots of litter picked up and a great morning of service.
