Happy Seniors Week! 💛

Seniors are an important part of our community, bringing wisdom, experience, and connection that help shape the place we call home.
This week, we celebrate the stories, laughter, and relationships that continue to make our community stronger.

We’re proud to offer programs for seniors that create opportunities to connect, learn, and stay engaged.

This month, we take time to learn, reflect, and honour the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and MĂŠtis peoples.

National Indigenous History Month is an opportunity to deepen our understanding, listen to Indigenous voices, and recognize the resilience and strength of Indigenous communities, past, present, and future.

We acknowledge that our work takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Katzie First Nation and Kwantlen First Nation.

National Accessibility Week is a time to recognize the importance of accessibility and inclusion in our communities. Accessibility is about more than physical spaces, it’s about programs, services, attitudes, and systems that allow everyone to participate fully and with dignity.

This week encourages reflection, learning, and action to help remove barriers and create welcoming, inclusive environments for people of all abilities. When accessibility is built in, everyone benefits.

Let’s continue working toward communities where everyone belongs.

A heartfelt thank you to Greg for his generous donation to Alisa’s Wish Child & Youth Advocacy Centre, made in honour of the legacy of his parents, Geraldine and Kenneth Burnett.

Because of supporters like Greg, children, youth, and families in our community can continue to access the care, advocacy, and support they need during difficult times.

We are deeply grateful for this meaningful gift and the lasting impact it will have on the lives of those we serve.

Join Andrei Peterson, Family Peer Support, for an engaging and supportive workshop designed to help caregivers and parents navigate social media and screen-time with youth ages 12 and up.

Together, we'll explore the impacts of social media on youth mental health, behavior and well being. We will look at strategies of connection, attachment, communication, co-crating goals and restrictive measures.

This is a space to reflect, learn, and connect. Meaningful change begins with relationship.

A huge thank you to Golden Ears McDonald’s for their continued generosity in support of Foundry Ridge Meadows through this year’s McHappy Day!

This marks their fifth annual donation, and over the years they have contributed more than $20,800 to help support young people in our community. What an incredible impact!

We were so grateful to be part of McHappy Day and truly enjoyed connecting with the community alongside such an amazing team.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to youth wellness and for making a difference for so many young people in our community! ❤

The Hearts & Teacups fundraiser on May 3rd was nothing short of incredible.

We are so grateful to Sandi and Ursula, the heart behind this beautiful third-party fundraiser in support of Alisa’s Wish Child & Youth Advocacy Centre. Their time, energy, creativity, and thoughtful attention to every detail created a welcoming, joyful, and fun event for everyone who attended.

Thanks to their dedication, and the generosity of this amazing community, an incredible $20,661 was raised to help ensure children and youth in our community can access the support and safe spaces they need through Alisa’s Wish.

Thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of young people and families when they need it most.
