Today, we remember and honour the lives lost to overdose, acknowledge the grief carried by families, friends, and communities, and stand alongside those who are living with substance use challenges or are in recovery.

Overdose can affect anyone. Stigma, shame, and judgment can prevent people from seeking help, which is why compassion and understanding are so important.

How you can help:
• Learn the signs of an overdose and how to respond.
• Carry a naloxone kit and know how to use it.
• Check in on friends, family members, and community members who may be struggling.
• Encourage and support access to treatment, recovery, and harm reduction services.

Access local harm reduction services, carry naloxone, and call 911 immediately if you suspect an overdose.

🚜🌾 This week, our EngAge Meadows Program seniors embarked on a fun-filled adventure to Hopcott Farms and Meats!

The EngAge Meadows Program offers seniors opportunities to participate in engaging group activities that support cognitive health, encourage physical well-being, and create meaningful social connections.

During their visit, the group explored the history of Hopcott Farms and its place in our community. Their tour included the original barn, cranberry fields, event barn, bistro garden, and much more. The day wrapped up with a delicious long-table lunch at the Bistro, followed by some shopping at the market.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and new memories made along the way, and the group is already looking forward to their next adventure!
A special thank you to Rachel Hopcott for the incredible tour and the fun trivia questions that kept everyone engaged throughout the day. 💚

Today our staff took a moment to slow down and enjoy the summer sunshine while getting creative and making beautiful suncatchers together. ☀️✨

From colourful designs to unique personal touches, each piece reflects the creativity and individuality of the people who made them.
Activities like these are a wonderful reminder of the importance of connection, wellness, and taking a moment to recharge. Plus, now we have some extra sparkle brightening up our workspaces!
Thank you to all our staff who joined in and helped make the activity such a fun experience.
