Join us for our 98th Citizens’ Gathering! The Citizens’ Gathering provides an opportunity for Citizens to come together to share in Métis social, cultural, political, and spiritual activities and to participate in the governance of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government.

Your RSVP helps us to plan for the expected attendance at our Citizens’ Gathering. We appreciate your help! Citizens who do not RSVP are also welcome to take part in the gathering. Please note, your RSVP does not register you to vote August 21 or 22.

How can I vote?

Register at our Registration desk August 21 and 22 from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration is required to vote each day. Please note that only Otipemisiwak Métis Government Citizens can register and vote.

Citizens travelling between 150 kms to 349 kms will receive a $50 gas card. Citizens travelling between 350 kms to 549 kms will receive $100 gas card. Citizens travelling a round trip between 550 and 999 kms will receive a $150 gas card. Citizens travelling a round trip of 1000 kms or more will receive a $200 gas card. Gas cards are first-come, first-served.

The Rental Supplement Program is now open!

Eligible Métis Citizens in Alberta can apply now for rental assistance to help with monthly rent and security deposit costs.

Funding is limited, and applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
