🇨🇦Tomorrow (July 18) LOOK for the Legion table at the Rodeo breakfast at the Legion hall. Why?? Remembrance is not limited to ONE day!
To commemorate the Legion’s 100th Anniversary, we are all invited to write a short message about what “Remembrance” means to each of us! Just a few words on a “post-it” note, a name, a memory or a Thank you.
These handwritten notes will be gathered and sent to Legion headquarters where they will become part of a commemorative mural honouring service, sacrifice and the memory of the Fallen.
Tomorrow at the Rodeo Pancake breakfast there will be a table set up with post it’s and pens for you to share a few thoughts. Messages will be collected at all branches and branch activities until July 30, 2026. (Or take a picture of one, leave in comments to share)

You can also share a photo of your message online. Do you ever wonder, why a poppy? Poppies bloomed in the battle-scarred fields of Flanders, the vivid red came to represent the blood of the Fallen.
Resilient and rising again. In late June of this year, walking by the Legion, I took this picture of a lone poppy growing between the cracks of the sidewalk, the ones planted in fertile soil in front of the cenotaph did not have a bloom yet. Seeing that lone plant in such arid conditions and still bloom, made my throat catch, I rememberedđź’”
