This project is designed to enhance the great space we have here, allowing for more event opportunities, community gatherings, and fun for every age.
There still seems to be a misconception around where these ideas came from. This design was created based on the feedback from local residents! From YOU!
Sometimes the negative noise is loud, but it doesn't necessarily represent the truth.
A volunteer advisory panel was created made up of local residents, the City conducted numerous engagement and feedback opportunities in person and online, the advisory panel analyzed those results, and in collaboration with landscape architects, this design proposal was presented to council and concept approved.
This project goes well over the original budget, therefore meaning the City is investing in this space and our town too.
You don't have to agree with every feature to still support something that's meant to benefit the present and future generations.

Don’t let unpredictable weather put a boo in your Halloween plans. Come out, get your spook on, and enjoy an evening of Halloween fun, treats, costumes, and community spirit! 🎃 🍭
Everyone wearing a costume will get to enter a door prize too.
Want to join the fun? Local residents or community groups/businesses interested in decorating a table and handing out treats can complete the form below. There is no cost to participate, but space is limited.

Reminder, tomorrow night! Come meet and hear from the Ward 2 candidates. Hosted by the Walden Senior Citizens and Pensioners and the Walden Community Action Network
To submit a question for Candidates, click on the link in the comments. You will also be able to write down a question before the event begins. Candidates will be addressing the most common topics as well as taking additional questions from the public as time permits during the event.
This will be live streamed on Facebook, and recording available afterwards.
