Did you screenprint an Upside Downtown T-shirt? Need the At Home Washing Instuctions? We got you covered!

Following the event, proper home care of your fabric is essential for the longevity of the print. Improper drying, curing, or heat setting may result in the image fading over time. Once heat set, screen printed fabric is machine washable.

1. Allow screen prints to completely dry and cure for 24-36 hours after printing.
2. Set with heat using one of the following methods:
- Iron: Ensure there is no water in your iron and set it to medium heat. You can protect your design and the iron by placing pieces of parchment paper inbetween. Iron design for 3-5 minutes being careful not to let it burn.
- Dryer: Places cured screenprinted fabric in the dryer on a high temperature for 15-20 minutes.
3. Wear your print proudly and be sure to tag us!

Want to do more screenprinting with your own designs? Check out the printmaking classes in the Casa Fall Program Guide! https://casalethbridge.ca/classes/intro-to-printmaking-screenprinting/

ONE MORE DAY until the last Upside Downtown concert of the year - POP UP, GET DOWN!

Today we are highlighting the wonderful Community Organizations that are partnering with us at Pop Up, Get Down!

One of the reasons that Lethbridge has such a vibrant art scene is the way in which local groups support each other. We wanted to collaborate with other local, art loving groups to help spread their messaging by sharing the spotlight. Feel the upside part of Upside Downtown!

You'll be able to find booths for:

Lethbridge Food Bank
Honouring Traditions and Reconciliation Society
Friends of the Lethbridge Public Library
Tourism Lethbridge
Alberta Foundation for the Arts
Nectar Fine Tattooing
City of Lethbridge- City Hall's Capital Improvement Program

Make sure to stop by their booths and say hi! And bring a nonperishable or monetary donation for the Lethbridge Food Bank!

Congratulations to Api'soomaahka (Running Coyote) - William Singer III for being awarded the Lieutenant Governor Award!

The AMA is pleased to announce Api’soomaahka (Running Coyote) – William Singer III as the 2026 recipient of the Lieutenant Governor’s Award, in recognition of his profound commitment to artistic excellence and the preservation and vitality of Blackfoot culture.

A member of the Kainai Nation of the Blackfoot Confederacy, Api’soomaahka is an accomplished artist and illustrator with over 40 years of experience. His work is deeply grounded in the Blackfoot worldview and, shaped by his lived experience as a Residential School survivor, serves as a powerful force in preserving, revitalizing, and transmitting language, culture, and ecological knowledge. His work stands as a testament to his commitment not only to artistic excellence, but to the preservation and advancement of Blackfoot cultural identity.

Our congratulations to Willam. Read more about the Lieutenant Governor's Award here:https://www.museums.ab.ca/media/191843/media_release_lg_award_2026.pdf
