ESSEX COUNTY, ON – Erie Shores Health Foundation is pleased to announce a generous grant of $56,202 from Windsor Essex Care for Kids Foundation to support the purchase of two specialized pieces of pediatric equipment at Erie Shores HealthCare: a new Infant Warmer and a Pediatric Vein Finder.

The funding will help ensure newborns and children in Essex County receive advanced, comfortable care close to home.
The Infant Warmer will provide immediate advanced care for newborn babies, particularly those requiring thermal support, monitoring, or respiratory assistance in the critical moments following birth. The system delivers precise temperature regulation and integrated respiratory support, helping clinicians provide timely, evidence-based care when it matters most.

The Pediatric Vein Finder will assist healthcare providers in locating veins for IV therapy, blood draws, and surgical procedures. By improving first-attempt success rates, the device helps reduce pain, anxiety, and discomfort for children while creating a more positive experience for families.

❤️ In memory of her father, John Cristofari, Laura Cristofari took on the Pelee Island Half Marathon with a goal of giving back to a place that meant so much to him.

John passed away on Pelee Island in October 2025 while visiting for the annual pheasant hunt. Wanting to honour his love for the island and support the care available to its residents and visitors, Laura chose to fundraise for the Pelee Island Clinic.

Thanks to the generosity of family, friends, and supporters, Laura raised an incredible $10,207 in John's memory.
We are deeply grateful to Laura and everyone who contributed to this meaningful tribute. ❤️

We’re grateful to the Knights of Columbus Kingsville Council 8233 for their generous $10,000 donation raised through the 37th Annual Wild Game Dinner in support of local healthcare, including the MRI at Leamington Hospital.

Essex County, ON – Erie Shores Health Foundation (ESHF) is proud to announce a generous $50,000 donation from Kent & Essex Mutual Insurance in support of new patient beds at Erie Shores HealthCare.

The donation will support the replacement and enhancement of patient beds throughout the hospital, helping ensure patients continue to receive the comfortable, high-quality care they can count on at Erie Shores HealthCare.

“We are incredibly grateful to Kent & Essex Mutual Insurance for this investment in our hospital,” shared Neelu Sehgal, Chief Nursing Executive of Erie Shores HealthCare. “Support for vital equipment such as patient beds is essential for the continued efficiency of our hospital and comfort of our patients.”

Modern patient beds play a critical role in both patient comfort and clinical care, supporting mobility, safety, recovery, and overall patient experience. This investment will directly benefit patients and healthcare teams alike by helping Erie Shores HealthCare continue delivering exceptional care in a growing community.

What an incredible day for local health care. 💙
Because of this amazing community, the 2026 Run & Roll was our biggest year ever — raising an incredible $161,000 in support of local health care.

From every participant, volunteer, sponsor, donor, committee member, and supporter… thank you. Whether you ran, walked, rolled, cheered from the sidelines, or honoured a loved one through fundraising, you helped make a real impact close to home.

Over 900 participants came together this year, proving once again what’s possible when a community shows up for one another.

We are beyond grateful.
