Did you know that a tick can lay up to 4000 eggs?

After feeding on a host, adult female ticks typically lay their eggs in the springtime, capable of producing thousands of offspring. Eggs can appear translucent and are usually red and brown in color.

Nothing says spring like a friendly reminder!

This is how small ticks can be at this time of year. They look like little specks of dirt. Ticks are out and looking for a blood meal and with this beautiful weather, so many people are outdoors.

Please do those tick checks every time you come in from outside. Use a good repellant containing Picaridin/Incaridin. If you find a tick, take a picture of the bite site and do not throw the tick away. Follow up with your doctor for the correct treatment protocol as recommended by ILADS.

Please share to educate those who are not aware.

An estimated 80% can survive frigid temperatures. Watch out for ticks this spring. Spring is here and the ticks are hungry for a blood meal! Protect yourself, your loved ones and your pets.

Do those tick checks!

It’s that time of the year! Ticks are out and thirsting for a blood meal.

Do those tick checks every time you come in from outdoors. Remember to keep the tick for testing. Take pictures of the bite site and get the correct dose of required antibiotics.

This looks like a challenging tick removal. Ticks have really been waking up with the consistently warmer temperatures. Time to get back in the habit of doing regular tick checks. What memory trick do you have to help remember. We have reminder cards for your bathroom. https://bit.ly/tick_check_cards1
