Sure, it’s about winter – the frosty noses, the frozen fingers, the breath you can see in the air, but “it’s cold out there” means more than just the weather. It’s about showing up and fundraising for local charities who serve people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness.
Every February, tens of thousands of people all across North America walk together in 250+ communities, all while raising money and awareness for those who need it most. 🫶

✨ Another CNOY, another toque reveal!✨

The CNOY 2027 Toque is here! It’s cozy, stylish, and the best way to say “I’m doing this.”

And it’s our way of saying “thank you” to everyone who fundraises ($150 adults / $75 youth) and helps bring warmth and support to their community. ❄️🫶

Remember this past Coldest Night of the Year? 🥶

There were cozy layers, a few cold fingers, and ALL the good vibes!
We cheered, fundraised our hearts out, and felt the warmth of CNOY 💙 (all while walking together!)

Still have pledges that aren’t paid? Have more people donated since you attended Coldest Night of the Year? Don’t worry — we’re accepting donations until March 31!

Donations can still be made online, via credit card, and all cash/cheque donations can be dropped off right to your local CNOY Charity!

Veterans’ House Canada’s Coldest Night of the Year walk raised more than $57,000, far surpassing its $20,000 initial fundraising goal. Proceeds will support the ongoing Veterans’ House Edmonton project, which will provide 40 units of permanent, affordable housing for veterans experiencing homelessness in Edmonton and across western Canada.

Veterans’ House Canada is a federally registered charity that provides a veterans-only community with comprehensive services aimed at tackling the root causes of homelessness and supporting long-term stability.

In Ottawa, the Andy Carswell Building, the first residence, has provided housing and support to more than 80 veterans. Cities currently under consideration include Halifax, Toronto, and Victoria, among others.

The path to stability is challenging, with many obstacles along the way. Our veterans served and risked their lives. Now, it is our turn to serve and support them.

La marche « La nuit la plus froide de l’année » organisée par Veterans’ House Canada a permis de récolter plus de 57 000 dollars, dépassant largement son objectif initial de 20 000 dollars. Les fonds récoltés serviront à soutenir le projet en cours de Veterans’ House Edmonton, qui prévoit la création de 40 logements permanents et abordables destinés aux anciens combattants en situation d’itinérance à Edmonton et dans l’ouest du Canada.

Veterans’ House Canada est un organisme de bienfaisance enregistré au niveau fédéral qui offre à une communauté réservée aux anciens combattants des services complets visant à s’attaquer aux causes profondes de l’itinérance et à favoriser une stabilité à long terme.

À Ottawa, l’immeuble Andy Carswell, la première résidence, a fourni un logement et un soutien à plus de 80 anciens combattants. Parmi les villes actuellement à l’étude figurent Halifax, Toronto et Victoria, entre autres.

Le chemin vers la stabilité est semé d’embûches. Nos anciens combattants ont servi et risqué leur vie. C’est maintenant à notre tour de les servir et de les soutenir.
