Congratulations to newly promoted CAPTAIN LUCIER and his successful training on the Basic Parachute Training Course. Now he is fully capable of jumping out of a perfectly good plane!

CF Basic Parachutist Course 0253 - 2025
This summer I got promoted to the rank of Captain July 1st 2025. As I began to work my class B contract as my 2nd year working with the Basic Parachutist Course, in Trenton Ontario.
It took me 7 years as a Canadian Armed Forces officer to be selected for this very competitive opportunity. (I got the one spot this year offered out of the 6600 CIC Officers across Canada to take this course.)
I am very thankful for this opportunity and thankful for everyone's support in achieving this dream. I have trained very hard, and lost over 30lbs in this past year.
Special thanks to the Parachutist Instructors who made this the most memorable, high-pressure, and physically demanding course. I would also like to thank the UPAR and other photographers for documenting this experience for me.
4 Jumps by day, and 1 by night where I couldn't see the ground (at 0100hrs.)
I am honored to be one of the few to be a part of this specialized, elite, and unique brotherhood.
I had the opportunity of participating in this CAF course with the top 47 Army Cadets from across Canada.
