Tonight’s training was all about getting the new guys comfortable on the equipment.
We headed down to the water front and practiced drafting salt water from the bay with the portable pump running two lines, while also keeping a third line going off the pump truck. We ended up washing off the Pavilion parking lot with all that water, it's great training for our new guys on the hoses and getting used to handling the water pressure.
It turned out to be a really productive night and everyone did an awesome job getting some solid hands on experience!

Our recruitment social was a huge success!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event happen, including the Town of Kings Point for supplying snacks and drinks, and Peter Andrews for providing milk for the kids.
It was a great turnout, and we are excited to announce that we gained 7 new members!

Last night we practiced confined escape drills, navigating 16” wall breaches while on air. It’s a tight squeeze that requires shifting your SCBA pack without breaking your mask seal. Great job by all!
