Introducing: Will and Sylas, a father-and-son team from Golden, BC.

This is our first year in RallyX, running a 2002 WRX.
We’ve spent a lot of time together in the shop getting the car ready and look forward to putting it to the test at each race.
We’re here to have some fun, get faster, and enjoy the family feel and support that IRSA brings to every event.

Introducing Dave

RallyX: 3 years
Other Sports: hill klimb, track, autocross

For me rallying is my chosen religion. I grew up in the UK watching my hero Colin McRae throw a Subaru through the forests of the world at impossible angles. I was around rallying my entire life and spent the last 15 years going to spectate, volunteer or wrench at stage rallies in Merritt and Big White, never thinking it was possible I could step up from Hill Climbs and track days to the glory of stage rallying.

All that changed 3 years ago when I took the humble family station wagon and took on a rally cross event at Thunder Mountain with IRSA. Worried I might be laughed at for turning up in a 20 year old automatic Ford Focus wagon, what I actually found was the most welcoming bunch of people in motorsport. Rallycross is the most cost effective motorsport I have ever come across, needing little more than a be**er car and a helmet to have the most fun on four wheels.

The people I met also led me to buy my dream car, a GC series Subaru Impreza which I now take to stage rallies around BC.
