We’re back this November with Hornby Arts’ annual Winter Studio Tour!

Join us on Sunday, November 22, 11am to 3pm for a free, self-guided tour of our beloved Artists Island

Meet local artists, see where the work gets made, and chat with them about their process

The event will feature a wide range of mediums, including printmaking, ceramics, woodworking, sculpture, textiles, painting, photography, stained glass, and more...

From Newfoundland’s historic churches to Hornby Hall.
We’re excited to welcome Michael Cloud Duguay and his quartet with Kingdom Come, Kingdom Go.
Travelling more than 1,500 kilometres across Newfoundland in a solar-powered mobile studio, Michael and his collaborators recorded seven historic church organs in seven remote communities. Each instrument had its own voice and history—one hadn’t been tuned in 120 years; another was uncovered beneath rubble.
For this live performance, digital instruments recreate those distinctive organ sounds, joined by saxophone and live electronics. Join us for an immersive evening of music, memory and deep listening.

Drawing on the book For the Trees: An Anthology of Tree Communicators, we’ll consider new ways to listen, respond and create in collaboration with the natural world.

ForestFest starts tonight! Join Conservancy Hornby Island at the Community Hall for a weekend of films, talks and workshops celebrating our forests.

The beautiful book *For the Trees: An Anthology of Tree Communicators* will be available to buy in the Round Room during ForestFest.

We’re so excited about our linked events with Elyse Pomeranz on Monday and Tuesday too, continuing the exploration of our connections with trees through creativity, conversation and time outdoors.
