For some time, there has been chatter about the need for a crosswalk on Hwy 19A in the area of Magnolia Court. Foot traffic continues to increase, and with the recent opening of Lighthouse Villa seniors’ residence, the need for a safe crossing has become even greater.
With the support of our RDN Area H Director, a petition has been prepared to ask the Ministry of Transportation & Transit to install a signalized crosswalk on 19A. The petition will be available for signature outside Tomm's on Saturday, September 26th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and then it will be placed at various places in the community. We will provide more details later.
If you feel a crosswalk would make our community safer, please be sure to sign the petition. The more signatures the better; however, please sign only once. Thank you for your support.
