Happy Pride Month!

Pride is a celebration, but it is also a call to action.

Across Canada, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals continue to face barriers to safe, affordable housing and are disproportionately represented among those experiencing housing insecurity and homelessness (CMHC: 2SLGBTQIA+ Housing Needs and Challenges). Everyone deserves the dignity, stability, and sense of belonging that comes with having a place to call home.

This Pride Month, we stand with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and reaffirm our commitment to building a future where everyone has access to safe and affordable housing, free from discrimination and exclusion.

Because home should be a place where you can be your authentic self, feel safe, and thrive. Happy Pride Month from all of us at Habitat for Humanity Hamilton.

35 years ago today, Habitat for Humanity Hamilton was founded with a mission to build homes, communities, and hope.

Since 1991, more than 50 local families have partnered with Habitat Hamilton to access safe, stable, and affordable housing - creating brighter futures and lasting generational change.

Today, as we celebrate this incredible milestone, we’re also looking ahead to the future with our newest affordable housing development in Stoney Creek. Over the next two years, this project will create 10 new homes designed to help hardworking families build stability, save for the future, and take steps toward homeownership.

The Hamilton ReStore is open today and tomorrow, and then closed until Tuesday morning for the long weekend! We have lots of summer items in stock - be sure to pay us a visit if you're looking for outdoor furniture, BBQs, lawnmowers and so much more.
