Thank you Hamilton community partners, neighbours, local businesses and sponsors for being part of a true community impact.

This year was the first where we hosted something of this magnitude. Being in Hamilton Stadium and seeing the hundreds of kids having fun and enjoying themselves was a great experience. Remember, you were part of it to make it happen!

It’s not just about the backpacks, it’s the connection we make with each other letting them know that STAC Hamilton is part of your family and we’re here to support you. Being an integral part of youth development and academic success through sports and mentorship, and bridging local partners creates a powerful relationship and empowers young people.

🎓 STAC SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PARTY

STAC is hosting a Scholarship Application Party to help youth access financial support for college and university.

This is a hands-on evening where students can come prepared with their information and documents and receive support as they search for opportunities, prepare their information and work through scholarship and bursary applications.

💰 What Can Funding Help With?
Scholarships and educational bursaries can help students cover post-secondary expenses such as:
* Tuition
* Housing
* Other education-related expenses

Opportunities may be available for students entering their first year of post-secondary education, as well as students continuing their college or university studies.

✅ COME PREPARED
To get the most out of the evening, students should have already completed or have access to their OSAP information and be registered for their upcoming post-secondary studies.

📋 WHAT TO BRING - Have Your Information Ready
* Your post-secondary student number
* Your OSAP information/login
* Your post-secondary school information

Have Digital Copies Ready to Upload
* OSAP Funding Summary
* Statement of tuition payment for the current semester, or full academic year if available
* Final secondary school transcript if you are a first-time applicant

💻 Bring a Device
If possible, bring a laptop or tablet so you can access your information, upload documents and work on applications during the event.

Make sure you can access your email and any online student accounts you may need.

🎯 THE GOAL OF THE NIGHT
This isn’t just an information session — we want you applying.

Come ready to:
* Find scholarship and bursary opportunities
* Get help understanding application requirements
* Organize your documents
* Work through applications
* Ask questions when you get stuck
* Make real progress toward securing funding for your education

Two ways to get moving. One hour of energy at the STAC Back to School Festival.

From 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, choose how you want to take part:

💃 MOVE IT! Dance Fitness
Led by Marlice Simon and supported by Waterdown Fitness Club, MOVE IT! is a fun and inclusive dance fitness experience for all abilities and fitness levels. No experience needed — just come ready to move, enjoy the music, and have fun.

🏟️ Climb for STAC
Take on the Hamilton Stadium Stair Challenge and see how many climbs you can complete in one hour. Go at your own pace, challenge yourself, and experience the stadium in a whole new way.

All proceeds from these activities will go directly toward supporting STAC youth programs this fall.

First 100 adults coming through for the Back to School Festival will receive a swag bag filled with goodies from STAC and our sponsors. Make sure you show up for 12pm and the event goes on until 3pm.

If you miss out on the swag bags, don’t worry we got you! There will be raffles for some surprise prizes with over $200 each.

It’s coming up quick! This Saturday August 29th from 12-3pm, we are giving out 300 backpacks filled with school supplies to the kids in the community.

This will be the biggest event in the city you don’t want to miss out!

FREE haircuts for the kids, first come first serve so you must show up early.

Swag bags when you enter. Limited amount so again, show up early.

Community partners and vendors lined up to show you how they can support you.

Track and Field season ✅

We are so proud of each and everyone on the team and the coaches for providing a fun atmosphere while teaching life skills through sports. We’re have a couple off to university and so many young youth looking up to them as role models.

What a great track season! Thank you coach Tristan Amor for your hard work and dedication to the program and the youth. It was a nice season end celebration of all our progress from a personal perspective and organizational. We’re here to exist and challenge the system, we’re going to succeed.

Coach Aby Montague thank you for being a true role model and giving not just your track experience to the youth, but your mentorship which was a privilege to have.

Time to rest, and get fired up for the 2026-27 season!
