Our Hamilton Redbirds played in the
Luke Fleetham Annual Softball tournament in Durham on August 29th. They finished with a tie a loss and a win and tying for fourth place overall. Everyone showed that their hard work at practice has paid off by making great plays and having some awesome hits including some home runs. Great job Redbirds!!!

295 medals and counting for Team Ontario. 123 gold, 81 silver, 91 bronze!

Agai, that number was built long before Medicine Hat — in early practices, patient coaches, and families who never missed a ride to the gym. Proud of every athlete on that podium, and everyone back home who got them there.

Special Olympics Hamilton is planning to host its fifth annual
Basketball Skills Development Clinic this summer and we would like to hear from you about attending.

The Clinic is planned for:
Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026
Location: Burridge Gym McMaster University, Hamilton
Time: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Included is a light lunch and a T-Shirt.

The Clinic will provide athletes with the opportunity to participate
in basketball skill development activities, meet members of the
McMaster basketball community, and enjoy a fun day of learning,
participation and meeting new friends.

Who is eligible?

- Registered Special Olympics athletes in any sport and community

- Limited spots available

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Special Olympics Hamilton
Benefit Concert such a success!

We are grateful for the incredible support from our athletes,
volunteers, performers, sponsors, donors, and community members.
Because of your generosity, we were able to raise funds that will help
support Special Olympics Hamilton programs and create more
opportunities for our athletes to train, compete, build friendships,
and reach their full potential.

The event was filled with great music, community spirit, and a shared
commitment to inclusion. We are especially thankful to the talented
musicians who donated their time and talent, as well as the volunteers
who worked behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly.

An extra special thank you to Shawn & Ed Brewing Co. for serving as
our presenting sponsor and hosting the event. Their generosity,
partnership, and commitment to community helped make this concert
possible. We are incredibly grateful for their support of Special
Olympics Hamilton and our athletes.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended and supported the
event. Your involvement reminds us that great things happen when a
community comes together for a common purpose.

Together, we are creating a more inclusive community and making a
positive difference in the lives of our athletes.
