This Thanksgiving, we’re grateful for the first responders, frontline workers, healthcare professionals and support teams who continue to show up for our communities, even on the days many of us get to spend at home.

We’re also thankful for the families, peers, organizations and partners who stand behind them.

To everyone working today, and everyone supporting someone who is: thank you for all that you do.

Wishing our community a safe and happy Thanksgiving. 💛

Mental health support and training shouldn’t begin when someone reaches a breaking point.

For first responders, frontline workers and healthcare professionals, difficult situations can be part of the job. The right education, tools and support can help people better understand what they’re experiencing and build resilience before challenges become crises.

This World Mental Health Day, we’re recognizing the people who show up for others every day, and the organizations working to make mental health a meaningful part of how they support their teams.

Firefighters train extensively for what happens on the call. But the impact of the work doesn’t always end when the call does.

TEMA has been working with Halifax Fire Services to deliver resilience training for career firefighters, volunteer firefighters and administrative staff, giving people across the organization practical tools to better understand stress, trauma and the impact of difficult experiences.

This Fire Prevention Week, we’re recognizing the importance of preparing firefighters not only for the work they do, but for what they carry home from it.

Supporting your people is part of preparing them for the job.

Sometimes, understanding what you’re feeling is the first step forward.

Through Tema’s workplace mental health programs, real people are learning that their responses to difficult experiences aren’t something they have to navigate alone.

Real people. Real workplaces. Support that makes a difference.

Behind every uniform is a person carrying more than most people see.

The calls that stay with you. The shifts that follow you home. The weight that does not lift when the job is done.

No one should have to figure that out alone. That is exactly why the Tema Foundation exists.

What does real workplace mental health support look like?

Not a poster in the break room. Not a one-day seminar. Real, sustained support that meets people where they are and helps them find their way through.
