MEET SULLY! NOW ACCEPTING ADOPTION APPLICATIONS!

Help us find the perfect forever home for Sully, a young Sulcata tortoise with a big personality and an even bigger future!

At approximately 2 years old, Sully is active, curious, and full of personality. He came into our care when his previous owner could no longer provide for him, and now we’re looking for a very special placement where he can thrive for the rest of his life.

While Sully may be petite and relatively low-maintenance right now, don’t let his size fool you! Sulcata tortoises can grow to weigh up to 200 pounds and live for 100 years or more. They require specialized care, plenty of space, and a lifelong commitment from an experienced caregiver.

What kind of home does Sully need?

Our ideal placement would be a reputable sanctuary or zoo with extensive experience caring for exotic animals. Sully’s future caregiver must understand the unique, long-term commitment required to give a Sulcata tortoise the life he deserves.

Tricks, Treats & Tails Adoption Event 👻🐾

No tricks here, just treats, tails, whiskers, and plenty of cats looking for their forever homes!

On October 17th, Dogwood Animal Rescue is bringing some of our adoptable cats and kittens to Pet Valu Speedvale for a spooktacular adoption event!

From tiny troublemakers with endless kitten energy to sweet cuddle bugs who would much rather spend Halloween curled up beside you, there’s a furry friend waiting to cast a spell on you.

Join us Saturday, October 17th from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at Pet Valu, 378 Speedvale Ave E, Guelph to meet some of our adoptable cats and kittens! Come ready for plenty of purrs, playful personalities, and maybe a little Halloween mischief.

And the best part? Same-day adoptions are available! If one of our special guests steals your heart, you may be able to take your new furry family member home that day.

Want to skip the wait? Apply for adoption ahead of time through our website. Pre-approved adopters can come prepared to welcome their new family member home! We will also be processing applications on site, but please allow a little extra time if you haven’t applied in advance.

Posting these two again because they’re still waiting...

Alya & Kenzaki have been with us since February and, despite being such sweet cats, we haven’t had any interest in them. They are now the last two from their group still waiting for a forever home.

They may need a little time to warm up, but once they’re comfortable, they are such lovely cats.

We would really love to see these two finally get the chance they deserve.

The crisp air outside. The leaves changing colour. The cozy feeling of curling up somewhere warm with a cat by your side. Fall is the perfect season for slowing down, getting cozy, and making room for a little more love.

Join us this Saturday, October 10th at Pet Valu: 158 Clair Road E, Guelph from 11:00am–3:00pm for our Fall Into Forever Adoption Event!

Come meet our adorable adoptable cats and kittens and find the purrfect match to bring home. Whether you’re looking for a playful kitten, a gentle companion, or simply the cat who steals your heart, your new best friend could be waiting for you.

Still waiting for their happily ever after...

Alya & Kenzaki have been with us since February, and they are now the last two from their group still waiting for their forever home. We would absolutely love to see these sweet siblings find their family soon.

You can meet them at PetSmart-183 Silvercreek Pkwy N, Guelph.

Both Alya and Kenzaki are incredibly sweet, but they are the kind of cats who need a little time to adjust to new people and new surroundings. Once they feel safe and comfortable, their personalities really start to shine.

Alya is a quiet, independent girl who enjoys doing her own thing, but she loves quietly keeping her people company and happily accepts pets when she’s ready. She especially loves being brushed and has a playful side that comes out more and more as her confidence grows.

Kenzaki is the more outgoing of the two and loves being near his people. He enjoys following along with whatever you’re doing, asking for pets, exploring, and playing. He has become such a curious and playful boy.

Together, they love chasing, playing on their cat tree, and keeping each other company. They would love to find a quiet, laid-back home where they can continue building their confidence at their own pace.

They can be adopted together, or into a home with another young, social cat who can be a friend and help them continue to flourish.

These two have been waiting since February. They have already come so far, and we know there is a family out there who will give them the patience and love they deserve. We would love for their wait to finally come to an end.

Alya & Kenzaki are both spayed/neutered, vaccinated, parasite treated, dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fee is $300 each or $550 for them as a pair.

Somehow, these two beautiful girls are still waiting for their forever home.

Esme & Rosalie have been with us since June, and in that time, they have watched their four kittens grow up and find their forever families. They raised their babies together, watched them leave and are now still waiting for someone to choose them.

Esme and Rosalie are a bonded pair of approximately 1-year-old black domestic medium hair girls who must be adopted together. Both can be shy when meeting new people, but their sweet personalities begin to shine with patience and time.

Esme is the more timid of the two and takes some time to feel comfortable. Once she trusts you, she is gentle, affectionate, and happiest relaxing beside Rosalie.

Rosalie is the braver one and helps Esme feel safe. Once comfortable, she is quick to nudge your hand for pets and show you just how sweet she is.

These girls don’t always catch people’s attention right away. They aren’t the cats who will rush to greet every visitor, but they have so much love to give to the person willing to give them the time they need.

They have been patiently waiting since June. They watched their babies get adopted, and now we would love for it to finally be their turn.

Esme and Rosalie are spayed, fully vaccinated with RCCP and rabies, FIV and FeLV negative, microchipped, and on parasite prevention. Adoption fee: $550 for the pair.

Meet Zenitsu, Tanjiro & Genya! 

These three approximately 3-month-old boys are looking for patient, loving forever homes where they can continue building their confidence and discovering just how wonderful the world can be. 

Zenitsu is a male brown tabby Domestic Shorthair. Zenitsu is a sweet little guy who loves having a buddy nearby. He finds comfort in having one of his brothers close by and is happiest when he’s part of the kitten pile.

Tanjiro is a male brown tabby Domestic Shorthair. Tanjiro is a gentle and easygoing boy who is still learning to trust his surroundings. Like his brothers, he finds comfort in having the others nearby and is happiest when he can snuggle up with them in their cozy bed. As his confidence grows, we expect his personality to continue coming out more and more.

Genya is a male grey tabby Domestic Shorthair. Genya is a little more comfortable in his safe space. He loves the comfort of his cozy bed and prefers to eat his meals close to it, where he feels secure. He is slowly learning that he can venture a little farther from his safe spot, especially when his brothers are nearby to reassure him.

These boys are happiest together, often curling up into one big kitten pile. They’re still building confidence, so they need patient adopters and must be adopted with a sibling or into a home with another young, social animal for companionship.

Zenitsu, Tanjiro, and Genya are neutered, vaccinated with RCCP, parasite treated, and microchipped. They will still require their booster vaccine and rabies vaccine after adoption, which will be the responsibility of their adopters.

Their adoption fee is $300 for a single kitten or $550 for a pair.
