We have officially released a Request for Information (RFI) to explore the future digitization of the MineOpportunity Challenge, an interactive career exploration program that introduces high school students to careers in Ontario's mining and mining supply and services sectors.

The purpose of this RFI is to gather information on available technologies, development approaches, and vendor capabilities that could support the next evolution of the program.

Day two of the MineConnect Business Development Mission took us from Wawa to Township of Dubreuilville, where we met with Matt Larrett and the team at

We had the opportunity to visit the Island Gold Project, tour the mill, and see the Magino open pit — an incredible look at the many different components that make up a modern mining operation and the exciting future ahead for the region.

A highlight of the day was lunch with members of the Alamos team, including Austin Hemphill, General Manager at Alamos Gold. Austin shared that approximately 80% of their procurement is , reinforcing the important role Ontario suppliers and communities play in supporting mining operations.
