We’re very excited to share that Gateway CERH has received the Community Impact & Resilience Award for Huron County from the Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII)!

We’re grateful to NII for recognizing Gateway CERH as a community leader. This award is at the heart of our mission: making a difference in people’s lives and helping build healthier, more resilient rural areas through community-driven solutions.

The award was presented at the Clean Energy Frontier Conference reception on Thursday, where Wayne Caldwell, Chair of Gateway CERH’s Board of Directors, and Lily Rideout, Marketing and Administrative Coordinator, accepted the award on behalf of the organization.

At Gateway CERH, we believe there's value in creating spaces where people feel heard, understood, and supported. That’s why we’re proud of SHED Talks, which brings farmers together to share their experiences and have honest conversations about mental health and the realities of life in agriculture.

By listening to one another, we can build stronger connections and more supportive communities.

As an organization that serves rural communities, we recognize the importance of the public acknowledgement of Canada’s painful history and the ongoing impacts of the residential school system. This is a vital component of reconciliation.
