On August 5, the Crown Society of Canada had the great pleasure of welcoming the Honourable Paul Calandra, Ontario's Minister of Education, as an Honorary Member of the Crown Society of Canada and presenting him with the Society's Special Commemorative Medal in recognition of his public service and commitment to the Crown and the Ontario's communities.
The occasion also provided an opportunity to discuss civic education, Canada's constitutional system, and new ways to support and empower young people across Ontario.
Through education, public engagement, and community outreach, the Crown Society of Canada helps Canadians better understand the Crown and Canada's constitutional system while supporting youth through new initiatives and valued community partnerships, including The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award – Canada.
We sincerely thank Minister Calandra and his team for their warm welcome and look forward to continuing this important collaboration.

Le 5 août dernier, à Toronto, la Société de la Couronne du Canada a eu le grand plaisir d'accueillir l'honorable Paul Calandra, ministre de l'Éducation de l'Ontario, à titre de membre honoraire de la Société de la Couronne du Canada et de lui remettre la Médaille commémorative spéciale de la Société en reconnaissance de son service public et de son engagement pour la Couronne et les communautés ontariennes.
Cette rencontre fut également l'occasion d'échanger sur l'éducation civique, le système constitutionnel canadien et de nouvelles façons de soutenir et d'outiller les jeunes partout en Ontario.
Par l'éducation, la sensibilisation du public et l'engagement communautaire, la Société de la Couronne du Canada contribue à une meilleure compréhension de la Couronne et du système constitutionnel canadien, tout en soutenant la jeunesse grâce à de nouvelles initiatives et à de précieux partenariats communautaires, notamment avec Le Prix international du Duc d'Édimbourg – Canada.
Nous remercions sincèrement le ministre Calandra et son équipe pour leur chaleureux accueil et nous réjouissons de poursuivre cette importante collaboration.
