✨ From Drab to Fab! ✨

27 inpatient unit chairs have officially gotten a fresh new look! 💙🪑

These chairs were no longer safe to properly sanitize, but thanks to funds raised through the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital Foundation, they’ve been reupholstered and brought back to life! 🙌🏼

This project means the chairs can now be safely used by patients and families for many more years to come. 💙

27 chairs. One important upgrade. A whole lot of community impact. 👏🏼

🎉 Introducing our Board Member - Bill 🎉

Bill Lucas has lived in & around Fort Saskatchewan all his life. He grew up on an acreage just east of the Fort and attended grade school here in Fort Saskatchewan, then off to Grant MacEwan Community College for his Business Diploma.

Bill worked at one of the Sherritt spin off companies for 14 years before starting his next career as a home inspector/energy adviser with AmeriSpec. He also spent 20 years with the Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department. Bill has volunteered his time with local groups such as the Boys and Girls Club and The Rotary Club. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, cooking & camping but most of all, time with his family.

Bill looks forward to being a member of the Hospital Foundation to once again help his community that has been so good to him and his family through all the years.

🎉🥁 THE GRAND TOTAL IS IN! 🥁🎉

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community and the amazing team at Freson Bros, we’re thrilled to share that our July 25th BBQ fundraiser raised an incredible $1,208.25! 💙🙌🏼

This total includes the cash donations shown on the Freson Bros cheque, along with donations made through our credit/debit machine. Every single dollar truly makes a difference.

Your support will help us purchase much-needed medical equipment for the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital—equipment that plays an important role in supporting our healthcare teams and helping provide the best possible care for our community. 🏥💙

We are so grateful to everyone who stopped by, grabbed a bite, played Plinko, donated, and helped make the day such a success. Fort Sask, you showed up—and you showed your heart! 🥰

✨Introducing our Board Member - Bonnie ✨

Bonnie has a love for this community as she grew up, worked, and raised her family in Fort Saskatchewan.  She was fortunate to have a part of her career in Public Relations with Sherritt and knows the importance of supporting the community.  Bonnie had the honor of working with the Foundation on behalf of Sherritt to name the Sherritt Health Services Centre.  She continues to act on the Board for her Company Social club.

Now retired, she is excited to be a part of an organization of great people with the same goal as herself of giving back.  Bonnie believes health is most important and the Fort Saskatchewan Hospital (old & new) is where her children were born and has been there for her family many times.  She is looking forward to supporting the Fort Saskatchewan hospital through the Foundation.

💫 Introducing our Board Member - Lisa 💫

Lisa and her husband, Christopher, have called Fort Saskatchewan home for the past 10 years. She works at the University of Alberta in the Faculty of Science as a Development Assistant. Lisa is a former board member of the Fort Saskatchewan Public Library, where she served as Chair of the Personnel Committee.

Lisa joined the Fort Saskatchewan Community Foundation to continue serving the community she calls home. She feels a strong connection to Fort Saskatchewan and is committed to giving back and helping make a positive difference in the community.

💙 A Heartfelt Thank You to the Kjenner Families 💙

The Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital Foundation is incredibly grateful to have such dedicated and generous supporters in our community.

We are honoured to recognize the Kjenner families of George & Irene Kjenner and Randy & Karen Kjenner, who have each made an extraordinary donation of $25,000—for a combined total of $50,000! 🙌✨

Their generosity will directly support this year’s equipment goals: a Panda Warmer and Fetal Heart Monitor for the Labour & Delivery Unit at the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital. These essential pieces of equipment will help provide the very best care for local families and give our smallest patients the strongest possible start. 👶💙

Combined with the funds raised through our annual golf tournament, these remarkable donations have helped us reach our $80,000 fundraising goal—and we are still only partway through the year! 🎉

What an incredible accomplishment made possible through the kindness, generosity, and continued support of our community.
