It’s Thankful Thursday! 💙

Today, we’re giving a huge shoutout to the amazing volunteers who helped make Walk for YESS happen!

From helping with setup and keeping things running smoothly to cheering on walkers and lending a hand wherever needed, you played a huge part in making the day such a success.

We’re so grateful for the time, energy and enthusiasm you brought to the event. Walk for YESS wouldn’t be the same without you!

Thank you for showing up for YESS and for youth in our community.

October 8 is Donor-Advised Funds Day! 💙

So, what exactly is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?

A DAF is a charitable giving account that lets you set money aside for future donations and recommend which registered charities receive grants from the fund.

It can be a flexible way to organize your charitable giving over time.

Swipe through to learn how it works!

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supports YESS through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)! Your generosity helps ensure youth in our community have access to the support, resources, and opportunities they need to move forward. Thank you for choosing YESS and investing in brighter futures for you.

A huge thank you to Dwayne Robertson and the Samies IOOB Club for their generous contribution to the Adopt-A-Teen program! The cheque presentation on Saturday, September 26, was a wonderful event filled with camaraderie and heartfelt support. Together, we're making a difference!

More than 400 people are part of our monthly donor community. They show up for YESS every month, all year long.

We’re excited to now have a name for this community: The Nest.

To everyone who gives month after month: thank you. Thank you for believing in our work, caring about the youth we serve, and helping make sure YESS is here when they need us.

We’re so grateful to have you in The Nest.

A big thank you to Pixel Blue College for helping bring The Nest to life through their branding work. We’re grateful for community partners who share their creativity and help us celebrate the people who make our work possible. 💙

We’re celebrating our amazing donors this month! 💙

Throughout October, we’re taking a moment to say thank you and show the difference your support helps make at YESS.

Because of your support, youth can access:
🔵 A safe place to stay
🔵 Hot meals and nutritious food
🔵 Health and wellness supports
🔵 Connections to community resources
🔵 Staff who meet them where they’re at

These things can make a big difference for a young person experiencing crisis. Thank you for helping us be there for youth when they need us. 💙
