Parkland County's Fire Hazard Level has been updated to Fire Restriction, effective May 17 at 3 pm.

➡️ Fire hazard conditions are at a level where fires can start and grow quickly. No open burning fires or major burn operations are allowed.
➡️ Safe, recreational fires in approved fire pits, burn barrels/incinerators with screens, as well as gas/propane stoves, barbeques and fire bowls are allowed.
➡️ Major burn, outdoor fire, and consumer fireworks permits are cancelled at this time, and no new permits will be issued.

Using a Fire Pit? Know the Rules:
➡️ 3m clearance from structures and combustibles
➡️ Max 0.6m high / 1.5m wide
➡️ non-combustible construction only
➡️ on bare ground or non-combustible base
➡️ not near utilities or overhead wires
➡️ supervise your fire at all times and completely extinguish your fire when finished

Learn more in our latest news update (be sure to subscribe to receive updates like this directly to your inbox): https://www.parklandcounty.com/news/posts/fire-hazard-level-updated-to-fire-restriction/

This restriction applies ONLY within Parkland County. It does not apply to the City of Spruce Grove or the Town of Stony Plain. Each municipality sets its own Fire Hazard Ratings. If you live in Spruce Grove or Stony Plain, please check with your municipality for current conditions.

Clean up happening tomorrow, May 9th!
Join us!

If you are looking forward to spring and enjoy yardwork with friends and neighbours, we’ll need volunteers for our April 25th Grounds Cleanup.

Harvey has prepared a to-do list for us so give him a call or text if you are able to join in!

It’s a great way to meet others and there are task opportunities for all ages and skill levels. We are happy to write reference letters for teens who are gaining work experience.
