Five nights. One benchmark set.
LoveFest wrapped their Spring Series at CUBYYJ last night and we are still buzzing. From the first event to last night every dj, every room held with care, and a community that keeps showing up for each other.
What made last night special wasn’t just the crowd. It was overhearing the DJs Kevin Tafts, Jack Nimble, Mole of Soul, Jamie McCue, and the full production team talking in their own language about the room. Motors, turntable positioning, acoustics, signal flow. Things we could barely follow. But what we understood clearly was this: they loved the space. The way it’s laid out, the way the sound moves, the way a well-engineered room feels when everything is dialled in right.
That conversation between professionals in their own jargon, unprompted is the highest compliment 650 Yates Street has ever received.
To LoveFest thank you for being our first Founding Series Partner. You set the standard for what live DJ programming looks like in this city.
To the stewards who held the room, the members who showed up, and the people on that dance floor this is exactly why we built this space.
