Free youth program for ages 12-18. Come out and visit us on a Wednesday evening! This is not a Canadian Armed Forces website.

325 Cornwall Kiwanis Royal Canadian Air Cadets is one of the most active cadet units in the Eastern Ontario Region. The Canadian Cadet Organization is a Youth Group provided through a partnership between the Canadian Department National Defense and the respective Elemental Leagues. This is a youth group for ages 12-18 with a focus on developing youth in the areas of leadership, citizenship, physical fitness and for air cadets, and interest in flying and is sponsored by the Cornwall Kiwanis Club and Wing 424 of the Cornwall Royal Canadian Air Force Association.

325 Cornwall meets every Wednesday from 6pm-9:30pm and Saturdays from 1pm-4pm from September to June with many opportunities including Summer Training, Drill, Range, Biathlon, Band, Canoeing, Fun, Friends and Challenges. Follow this link to a calendar to keep up to date with all of our activities!

In Loving Memory of Captain (Ret'd) Gerald "Jerry" Joanisse, CD

It is with profound sadness that 325 Cornwall Kiwanis RCACS shares the passing of Capt Jerry Joanisse, a cherished member of our squadron family, dedicated mentor, and lifelong champion of the Cadet Program.

Although Jerry's cadet journey began with the RC Sea Cadets, his heart found a home with the Air Cadets for 49 years. His connection to 325 began in October 1977 when a chance meeting with Lt Steve Deschamps led him to join the squadron's officer staff.

Over the years, Jerry served in numerous roles, including Supply, Training, Administration, Public Affairs, and twice as Commanding Officer, leading the squadron for a combined six years. He also contributed to cadet training through Central Region Gliding School and Albert Head Cadet Summer Training Centre. His commitment was recognized through honours including the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal and the Canadian Forces Decoration with two rosettes.

Jerry's true legacy extends far beyond titles, appointments, and awards into the lives of thousands of cadets he guided. To generations of youth, he was a trusted mentor, instructor, leader, and friend who believed deeply in their potential. Through his patience, encouragement, and unwavering support, he helped instill confidence, discipline, leadership, and a sense of purpose that many still carry.

After retiring from uniformed service, Jerry turned to the role of Squadron Director with the Air Cadet League, and remained an active supporter for 325 while attending mess dinners, ACRs, or other events to celebrate the achievements of another generation of cadets.

On behalf of the officers, staff, cadets, volunteers, and alumni of 325 RCACS, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his beloved wife Pat, daughter Shari, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jerry, thank you for your leadership, friendship, mentorship, and extraordinary dedication. Your legacy lives on in every cadet who knew you.

Ontario Cadet Week was established in 2022 as a means to highlight the important contributions local cadet units provide to their communities. This recognition week begins on the first Saturday in October, allowing us to celebrate the cadets, parents, volunteers, officers, support committees, and community partners who are involved in living the motto "To learn, to serve, to advance."

On Friday, the 3 units gathered a few cadets to participate in the flag raising at Cornwall City Hall.

325 RCACS proudly stands with 2403 SD&G Highlanders RCACC and 110 Stormont RCSCC.

"Ontario Cadets Week is an annual provincial celebration that recognizes the achievements and contributions of Ontario’s cadets, volunteers, officers, instructors, sponsoring committees, and community partners. It was formally established through the Ontario Cadets Week Act, 2022, which proclaims the week beginning on the first Saturday in October each year as Ontario Cadets Week.

The week celebrates the three cadet programs operating in Cornwall, Ontario:
· 110 Stormont - Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps
· 2403 SD&G Highlanders - Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps
· 325 Cornwall Kiwanis - Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron

Ontario Cadets Week aims to:
· Recognize the accomplishments of cadets across the province
· Promote awareness of the Cadet Program within communities
· Thank the volunteers and supporters who make the programs possible
· Encourage youth to learn about and join cadet programs"

Hello cadets! We have some news. Every cadet should have access to their Microsoft Cadet365 account, where posted training nights, upcoming activities and resources will be available. This week is regular training, and the dress is C3B (Summer dress in the blue uniform).

If you do not have access to your Cadet365, please ask a senior about how to get access.
