When Abby registered with us in 2024, anxiety made communication hard and she often relied on her mother to speak for her.
Through hands-on placements, she began discovering her strengths. At Habitat for Humanity, she wasn’t sure she could run a cash register and count change, and she quickly proved she could.
Her confidence soared. That led to a summer as a Rental Attendant at Freedom Adventures SDG through our Brokered Incentive Agreement program, and an invitation to return next season as a supervisor! 🙌
From needing support to speak up, to preparing to lead others. That’s what happens when someone gets the chance to discover what they’re capable of. 👏

Lorsqu’Abby s’est inscrite chez nous en 2024, son anxiété rendait la communication difficile et elle comptait souvent sur sa mère pour parler en son nom.
Grâce à des expériences pratiques, elle a commencé à découvrir ses forces. Chez Habitat pour l’humanité, elle doutait de sa capacité à utiliser une caisse et à compter la monnaie, et s’est vite prouvé le contraire.
Sa confiance a grandi. Résultat : un été comme préposée à la location chez Freedom Adventures SDG, grâce à notre programme d’entente d’incitatifs négociés, et une invitation à revenir la saison prochaine comme superviseure! 🙌
D’une personne qui avait besoin de soutien pour s’exprimer à une personne qui se prépare à superviser les autres. Voilà ce qui arrive quand on a la chance de découvrir tout ce dont on est capable. 👏
